Screen is dimmed when not in use

Hi,

I don't know if it can be changed, but is it possilbe to cancel the gradual dimming of the screen brightness when I'm not touching it?

In other words: when I touch the screen it's bright, a few seconds later, instead of instantly going dark at one phase, it dimms gradually untill it reaches a certain level of darkness. Then, upon toched, it doesn't go instantly bright again, but again, lightned in phases until reaches the full brightness.

I have auto-brightness on, I don't know if it has anything to do with it.

Thanks!

What if you disable automatic brightness?  However I think that is normal, after some inactivity, the screen will gradually dim and turn off.

When auto-brightness is disabled, the screen does go darker in an instant, as I want, but I still want the auto-brightness function enabled, I don't see why these two have to be linked..

Perhaps @Hampus can explain more after the weekend. But as I know it, this is how the feature automatic brightness is supposed to work. This way, it will slowly adapt to the light the sensor is getting.

Hi,

I have tried this here and yes, it is correct that the screen dims slower when adaptive brightness is activated. Unfortunately, I do not know have any background information why the developers have designed this feature this way.

Thanks for confirming this @Hampus.
