I was on a rooted xperia z, locked bootloader, when I finally get the notice there's an update available. I figured it's be kitkat but no, I'm with t-mobile so I got 4.3 I used Kingo Android Root before & it worked great with 4.1.2 & then later wth 4.2.2 but not this time. I was never on any stock ROMs but used the xposed module installer. I've contacted sony about downgrading back to 4.2 PC Companion seems to be good for updates only. Maybe Flashtool would do the job?

When you update your android of your rooted Sony phone officially using pc companion or update centre or any other thing, you'll automatically lose your root.
Now since you have a fresh android 4.3 unrooted rom, you have to downgrade it to android 4.1/4.2 using flashtool, then root it and install recovery.
After installing recovery, you have to install a PREROOTED android 4.3 stock rom.
Google prerooted android 4.3 for xperia Z C6XXX. you'll find it.
