Restarts when talking

Hello,

My experia Z1 compact works quite good, but it has quite annoying issue.

When I am talking - either outgoing or ongoing call, after few minutes (¬5min) of talking it restarts. Even with the full battery.

I am not using microSD card, the phone storage is half-way full. Not using WiFi or mobile data. Software is ofcourse updated.

Tried in the safe mode - problem after 10min of talking do not accured.

Any suggestions?

Hi @Kingspades123, sorry to hear about this. Slightly_frowning_Face

Do I understand correctly that when the device is rebooted in safe mode, this behaviour does not occur and you can speak freely for a longer period of time? If that is the case, one of your downloaded application is the cause of this as they are temporarily disabled while the device is rebooted in safe mode.

First of all, make sure that all your applications are updated, you can check this in the Google Play store. If you still experience this behaviour you will need to start uninstalling one application that the time to see which one is the cause of this. I would recommend that you start with applications that you can make calls / videos call with.

Let me know how it goes!

Hello again!

That sounds very strange as it was working for a few days and then you started to experience this behaviour again. Did you perhaps install any of these applications again?

If you didn't, I would recommend that you try with a different SIM card in your device. The easiest way is that you get in touch with your operator and ask them if they can send you a new one, or if you can pick one up directly from one of their stores.

You can also try and perform a software repair using Xperia Companion. This will reinstall the latest available software in the device so we can see if the software is the cause of this.

Do note that when performing a software repair, all data that is stored on the internal storage of the device will get deleted, so it is advised that you create a backup using Xperia Companion before starting with the repair.
