quieter notifications

I find that the notifications on my phone are way too loud. However I want it to ring loudly. Is there a way to get quieter notifications while still keeping a loud ringtone?

Any tips welcome. Thanks

Try go to settings » Sound  and scroll down till you see an option to increase the volume of the ringtone.
