Question about waterproofing

I recently purchased a used z1S on eBay and the phone has a stress fracture on the back
How does this affect the waterproofing

It's not waterproof, keep it away from water.

You have 2 options

1. contact your local Xperia Care and ask them how much they will charge you to replace the back panel

or

2. DIY, which will be cheaper.
