QC SEMC Service uses lots of data

Since a few weeks I found in the summary of "My Data Manager" the app QC SEMC Service.

This app uses about 4 MB every day of my data.

what is this app used for and why is it using such a lot of my data since a few weeks.

You can also restrict background data for those particular apps if you think they are using your data without your knowledge. Go to settings>data usage>select the app>check restrict background data. You can do this for both mobile data and WiFi data.

Looks like unchecking seems to work. The last 2 days the use of data was lower then 0,1 mb.

I have read somewhere that if you allow apps to send anonymous data,the specific app or apps will use more resources (about 10% more) and I believe internet is included.
