Poor! sony xperia z5 premium headphone jack repair.

hi forum just to let you all no, if you send your device for a headphone jack repair under warrenty this could be the result.

as you can see in the pictures you can see the headphone jack with/without the backlight turned on and off. you should not be able to see any of the backlight at all if a genuine replacement part has been used. in my veiw a poor repair and either parts missing or just another part from a different mobile. not happy sony / sbe ltd -  can anyone give me a part number for the headphone jack at least, so i can do a better repair myself and get better results.

thank you

regards matt.

Why's it dented in by the jack?

hi buddy its not actually dented its just the reflection from the camera lens attachement that i put on my galaxy s3.  it is a shocking repair though. its like you can see into the phone through the jack socket and its just bottomless hole.

Tbh I think I would rather do the work myself at least I no then that it would be sorted out,it just got to source an oem part and some new adhesives for the battery cover. Also I've only just noticed this. The camera is slightly not centred properly eighther. I tried to call Sony earlier to address this problem but I hung up after half an hour not to be answered. It's a rubbish service and at this point I don't really care if it's under warranty I'd rather do it myself.

Problem is that it is possible by attempting the repair yourself you may cause further damage....and not only to the headphone jack and/or camera ....follow @Viridis advice, get back in touch with the service centre & good luck :smileysmileythumbsup:

First off i would like to take this opportunity to say sorry to the engineers who have have to repair these faults of Sonys poor design and workmanship and parts that go into there products.my problem is the headphone socket yet again this is the 4th time in 11 months. and also the screen looks to be protruding out of its frame somewhat now. phone has never been dropped,so i can only assume that this maybe caused by the phone having to be repaired that many times. this problem is more towards the bottom of the device than the top.

So What have i learned over the last 11 months never EVER BUY SONY MOBILE PHONES they are totaly and utterly crap. as soon as its back from repair this time i am getting rid of it. infact i cant wait to get rid of it. sony wont even compensate me for the times its been in repair so im paying for something i cant use. iv also posted this on social media so hopefully this spreads the message about there xperia range. DO NOT BUY.

I just sent in my Z5P to repair the headphone jack, I really hope that the outcome won't be like this. Face_with_open_Mouth
