I agree with my friend here.. Samsung has given these options to the users.. to change the 2K display either to 1080p - 2k or 720p.. depending on how the user wants the content to display.. it is given that if the suer goes for higher resolurtion it will negatively impact the battery performance.. and aregulably what is the point in having a 4k display that will render only 1080p content. might as well have 1080 p display and kill the price of the so called flagship...!
But it doesn't only render 1080p content. When viewing images or video it renders in native 4k, some apps out there can also enable 4k but they are rare. Dpi scaling is also am option but that can affect the layout of certain system app screens.
I agree...but the 2k display on all phoen renders UI and other content upto scale... and lets agree people like the 2k display all the time and wouldn't neccesarrily like the same content in 1080p all the time.. honest poll would you like the content to be 1080p or 2k all the time...
