Hi, I just got my z3 less than a week ago, today I notice pink spot with the camera and all the photos I take. Is this a software issue or should I take it to sony a.s.a.p? Sample photo:
Front and back camera. is it normal ?
@clar729 Have you checked this?
It doesn't seem to be a hardware/software issue, it's a general phenomenon in mobile cameras with larger sensors.

i bought this for the camera
Sony sent a new phone(15w03) me for this issue and i tried all settings and issue keep going. All z3 like this(see 171. post)? I'll wait for fix by Sony?
Change white balance to cloudy when indoors and the colours will be more accurate.
The colour difference is because Sony's auto mode doesn't choose white balance correctly. It chooses a 'brighter' white balance at the cost of colour accuracy.
That's why pictures often look 'washed out' and under-saturated. Outdoors I use either sunny or cloudy white balance depending on light. Indoors I use cloudy unless it's very dark or under artificial lighting.
Don't use Auto unless you have to take a quick snap and don't have time to change settings. The 'superior' Auto is anything but superior.
The cloudy settings produce horrific colors here.
I was shooting my dog on the bed, when I noticed it.... Actually before I take the photo all I was seeing was a big .... wait for it... pink spot! This is manual with with 200 ISO. The difference with the "superior auto" is that the auto is taken with higher ISO which makes it brighter, but the quality and the pink spot are the same.
I have noticed the same in with taking snow photos, but I don't have one for upload right now.
Hello guys,
I'm following this topic for more than a month and all i see is zero progress or interest on fixing this issue. Shame on you SONY! Many people BUY this phone and spend A LOT OF MONEY just for the camera, and when you take a photo you see the terrible performance of the camera - this is way off what it was advertised!
All we have is this:
Lens Colour Shading can be experienced under certain lighting conditions and when taking pictures against a block of uniform colour e.g. a piece of white paper or white wall. It's not something that's specific for Xperia products but something that can be found in many devices with a digital camera.
Well FIX IT THEN! There are many software developers who were able to overcome such issues in the past why you CAN'T ?
This phenomenon is most likely to be experienced under special colour temperature conditions, for example low temperature lighting:
Well what's next? Suggest not to take pictures so the issue is gone ? Really ? What a dissapointment will never buy SONY product ever again! You are earning negative points from all the users in this topic and i'll continue spreading this topic to save other people from this! If these complains in this topic can't make you fix it, a NEGATIVE MARKETING will maybe change your mind! Unless the issue gets resolved I'll submit reviews and share links to all majour sites to discourage other users from buying your products. I really hope you can do something about it - i know SONY can do better than this.
Regards.
