Hello,
I recently sent in my Z3 to the Sony repair center for some reception issues. When it came back, My phone is locked with the message on the top left of the screen saying "SIM Is Perso Locked". I now have to enter a SIM network unlock PIN which I do not have. I have called Sony and they could not provide a code. I have received one from my phone carrier (Wind Mobile) but that did not work.
Is my phone now locked to Wind Mobile? And how would I receive a proper unlock code?

Only Wind Mobile can give you the code, did you repaired the phone yourself or through wind mobile or through Sony's Xperia care?

Why is it that Wind can only give me the code? They have given me a code but it does not work. They told me they have to contact Sony to get this code as well.
Sony doesn't provide this codes, if you bought the phone through a carrier (Network locked) then you have 2 options
either 1 you get the code from them or 2 you buy it online
was the phone bought from Wind Mobile?
I bought the phone from Wind so it was unlocked to Wind. I sent it in for repair to Sony (as opposed to Wind) and when I received the phone, my phone was locked even though I had a Wind SIM card inserted.
However, the code they provided to me (which for some reason they said it came from Sony and I had to wait a month to receive) does not work which is why I'm not sure where to turn. If Wind cannot provide a solution, who else can?

It wouldn't surprise me if they gave you the wrong code and they don't want to admit their mistake which could affect their business, lets check something
open the phone app > dial > this: *#*#7378423#*#* > wait > wait > check service info > SIM lock
When I do that there is an "X" in network and to the right of the five words it says zero. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe this means I have zero attempts left to unlock? In this case am i SOL :(?

That's correct, if they gave you the wrong code it means that you have used up all the attempts, also, the x mark that the phone its locked to a carrier.
Your only option is to contact your Local support and send your device in, so they can reset the count.

yes, dial the same as above > software info > take a screenshot > post it here
