Persistent Cell info notification

I have a Z3 Dual, from USA, and since the update to 5.1.1 was not available for it on that particular region (and I live in Argentina) I installed the 5.1.1 update from Brazil, which works great, BUT, I have a persistent cell info notification on the status bar and lockscreen and don't know which app is producing it or how to disable it...

Can you help?

Also, to add to the weird notification, I am on Wifi, it is working but the phone doesn't remove the 3G / H / H+ icon next to the sim... like it used to do when on KK or 5.0.2... and it's making me think it's still using Cell data even though connected to wifi, which is NOT GOOD.

Do you experience the same notification while on safe mode?

3G / H+ / LTE is very often present while on wifi, at least in Polish 5.0.2 and 5.1.1. As long as there are no arrows along it you should be safe.

It's a system app called Cell Information version 29.1.A.0.5, I disabled it and the notification was gone. Don't know what it does or why it needs to persistently display that notification but my connectivity hasn't been affected since so....

If anyone has more info on it, please, do share.

please sony solve this. same issue here. didnt want to block notifications from an app I dont know what it does

If you go to settings, apps, toggle to show system apps, scroll to cell information app then force close it, it will go away and only come back after a restart.
