OTA update despite formerly open bootloader?

Hi there,

some time ago I had my boot loader unlocked. But I locked it again with flash tool. Currently I use a pre rooted Lollipop I installed via recovery.

What I find strange is, I get a message about a system update and I get this message via OTA!?

Is it possible you are offered OTA updates, althought once the boot loades was unlocked!?

Has SONY changed its policy regarding OTA updates once the BL was unlocked (and may be locked again)?

Unlocked or not you would still receive the notification - However that's not to say it will work as it would normally say something like Modified software detected and thus fail to proceed to update

Okay, that makes sense.

Though, when I used Kitkat, I did *not* receive such a OTA update message tp update to Lollipop.....

But, now with a rooted 14.5.A.0.242 I do get such a message....

Not a big deal, I just was curious.

You won't always receive OTA updates - This depends on whether or not it gets released as an OTA and via PCC or just via PCC
