notification message doesn't appear in lock screen

Hi everybody.

I was an IOS user for about 3 years.

Before 2 weeks I purchased a Sony Xperia Z3 compact.

I'm trying to know the operating system of Android mobiles but it's still quite difficult to me.

I hope you can answer my questions and make me someday a better Android user.

My question is simple.

Can I have notifications in the lock screen for my unanswered messages and calls or other notifications I've missed?

I don't want to open all the time the screen lock to see who was at my unanswered call.

I tried all the settings but it didn;t work.

If there isn't a way to do so, is there any app?

I have this problem when I upgraded my Sony Z3 compact to latest Android Lollipop 5.0.2.  The lock screen does not show any notifications at all, even when I have set all notifications to show on the lock screen in the settings.  Any help would be appreciated.  It is very frustrating having to swipe and enter my password to get to the home screen just so I can see what notifications are waiting.  Thanks.

I have the exact same problem as cheungs7. Every single notification option is ticked, enabled, etc. Still no joy. I have found many "solutions " on the Web, but no matter how many I try, and how many times I restart my phone nothing works. 

Any help please.
