No paperclip icon on keyboard/can't attach pictures.

Long story short. I just bought a Z3, it's the "SO-01G" variant, but I'm using it in the US. Everything is working fine, accept there is no way to attach a picture using the stock keyboard (international keboard) and messanger. No paperclip icon on the keyboard. I downloaded Textra and then an attachment icon appears on the stock keyboard.. but I don't like Textra, I want to use the stock keyboard/messanger combo. I cannot find any settings to add the paperclip icon to the keboard. I was able to add the micrphone icon, which I use all the time for tap-to-talk, but can't find any setting for attachment icon.

Interesting development. I figured out if I use the "Google Hangouts" app instead of the stock messenger app, the various menu options/icons appear below the text field just like yours, hmm. So at least now we know they are baked into the phone after all. Still trying to figure out why they wont show up in the stock messenger app. I don't even know what Google Hangouts is, I'll have to research.

That's quite odd, but keep us updated.

Tried everything. I ended up packing it up. It's going back.

Now, do I give up, suspecting that perhaps all Docomo SO-01G variants have the same stock keyboard/messenger as mine does,.. with no apparent way to access the attachments options/icon.. or do I take my chances and grab another one off the Bay while they are still available? The SO-01G version has 32GB's (vs 16GB for the model meant for the states) which is why I bought one, that and it was cheap for a "new other", unit. Decisions decisions.
