Network loss when LTE Preferred

Hi All

Recently I purchasses a Xperia Z5 Dual (E6683) & after first few weeks of using, i'm experiencing this network issue where it's signals dissapear all of a sudden & resumes with a approxomate time intervle of 5 seconds. This happens only when the network is setted as "LTE Only & LTE (preferred)/WDMA/GSM" & when mobile data off.

All I can understant is that the device won't do the network auto switch even though I sellect "LTE (preferred)/WDMA/GSM" mode, it's only trying to connect to a 4G network.

Two SIM cards from the same NSP acts in the same way

Facrory Reset done - results still same

Software repair done - results still same

it has Android 6.0.1 Build 32.2.A.0.305

Has anyone experienced a similar problem ? A solution would be greatly appriciated

Thank you in advance Slightly_smiling_Face

Hello @JSJ and welcome to the community!

I'd strongly doubt the carrier, you say you tested 2 SIMs from the same operator and they are the same. Maybe the coverage and/or the network strength in your area are not optimal? The only way to test that is to test in a different location and/or different carrier SIM.

Hi Quester

Yes, even I doubt it's a compatibility issue between NSP's SIM & Xperia Z5

But want to know the feedback from the community....! Whether is a problem in Z5 dual..

Thanks for your time Quester
