Need Help : Ps4 Controller with Xperia z3

I had buyed Sony Xperia Z3 last month, I am not a user of playstation 4, but i use to play android games on my xperia z3, I have some games like Nova 3 , Modern Combat 5 in my xperia z3 and i want to buy a playstation 4 controller to play these games with by controller, but last week i went to a sony showroom, when i asked them, they said its only for playstation 4, its not gonna work for other games and not connect with xperia z3.


So please tell me. Is this possible to connect ps4 controller with sony xperia z3 and use it for other android games which have controller connect option like Nova 3 type games ?

Rather than start a new thread, I was wondering if anyone has tried this yet - will the PS4 controller work with the Z3 for onboard android games, or do you have to buy the PS3 controller for that?

Hi to answer your question, yes it does or at least has for me on the games I've played.
I have played mame4driod which worked faultlessly and amiga emulator plus I've played real racing 3, asphalt 8, pinball arcade and ZEN pinball and all have worked perfectly 🙂

Awesome! Thanks for letting us know thedaz, much appreciated. I wanted to get the PS4 version rather than the PS3 one so I can use the new suction cup mounting adapter, looks better than the bracket style one the PS3 controller uses. It was just really hard to get an answer about this because everyone focuses on Remote Play when you search.

As thedaz3000 says, Z3 supports both Dualshock 3 and 4 and they will work for games that supports it.
