Hi, for some reason a selection of music files (not all) has gone from my PC even tho the folders are still showing there. However, the files are still on my Xperia Z3 SD card, and play fine, but I can't trasfer them from there back to my PC... it is weird! I have tried moving them via PC Companion and Media Go, but no luck.
Is there any other way of pulling the files back to my PC?
Tony
Solved! Go to Solution.
You mean that when you open the folder in the phone containing the files from Explorer in Windows you don't see any files?
If so, go to Settings -> Apps -> All -> Media Storage -> Clear data -> OK and then restart the phone (this will not delete any of your files). The phone will then rescan all your media (this may take some time if you have many media files). Then check again from PC. You should be able to copy them back by drag and drop in Explorer.
Have you tried moving them via the file manager? Does it work?
one way could be to upload them to another Pc and burn to disc or upload to a cloud account like Box and then download them
I have tried via file manager, but again the folders are showing as empty. It doesn't seem to make sense to have the folder but none of the songs in it, yet they are there in the walkman app and playing fine....
