Hi everyone,
I have Z1 for one year, and it was really nice time, recently i upgrade to Lolipop 5.0.2, but then the mic stop working good.
If i make or recieve a normal call, the other side can not hear me well, the vocie is bad and sometime its gone totally.
But if i try to recode a voice or movie or even make an internet call using Watts App or Facebook massenger, the mic is okay and fine.
Only in regular call it stop working good.
Any help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi every body if you still wanna use your cellphone z1 every body flash adn roll back on latest android 4.4.2
on this ROM everything works perfetcly.do not go on 4.4.4 it has huge bugs .lolipop still has bug make cellphone useless
The only way I have found around the mic breakup on calls is to use a bluetooth headset/earpeace people can now hear what I'm saying again. It's not an ideal solution but at least people now nolonger keep telling me they can't hear or make make me out. I cannot even sell the phone to move on as who really wants a mobile phone that dosen't work. It could only be sold as parts or repair and get next to nothing for it.
Get your finger out sony and get a fix out for this problem!!!!!
Settings > apps > all > smartconnect > clear data > restart the phone, if that doesn't work then try to repair it with PCC
Bridge (for Mac)

We have found an issue in a patch from a third party that we believe is causing poor sound for the counterpart during calls for some users. It's fixed in the next software update that we plan to start rolling out in a near future.
Reading your post above it seems you have another more serious issue with your phone. What you are describing doesn't sound like a software issue but more of a hardware issue.
If the suggestions from uliwooly doesn't help i think that this needs to be examined and fixed at a repair center. For more information about how to submit your phone for repair and where, please contact your local support team.
The software issue that has been found is that after the update to Lollipop, the counterpart may hear poor sound in some cases during calls.
I'm afraid i'm not sure what you mean by "alta voice mode"?
But to me it sounds like there may be an issue with the headset jack in your phone. It sounds like it's broken so the phone thinks you have a headset connected even though you dont. In that case you would need to enable the speaker during calls to use the phones speakers. If i understand you correctly the phone also thinks you're pressing the answering button when you connect a headset which also points to the headset jack being damaged.
