micro sd card question

I use the z5 dual. Sd card i am having a problem i can not register carda please help me

I have a question regarding the sd card.

After updating my z5c to 7.1.1, the sd card was no longer recognizable. Formatting this on computer will most probably fix this as doing so from the device itself doesn't work. Should I disconnect this in the future prior to updating?

I never have a sd card connected on major updates. transfer on pc, format, then try the sd again
