Manual Camera mode

Hey everyone I just bought the Xperia Z3 a couple days ago and while setting it up and everythig I was browsing through the camera looking at all the features which is nice, today I noticed that when you switch from superior auto to manual mode you can no longer "select scene" its now grayed out. Has anyone else come across this problem? Any input would be appreciated.

If you select 8MP resolution,you can.

Is there an explanation why scene mode will not work with higher resolution? Is this being addressed and possibly fixed in a firmware update?
