Gutted that my Z3 was stolen from me yesterday.
My first concern was to try and locate the phone using My Xperia, secure wipe and lock down my accounts. Unfortunately the phone still can't be contacted. I've changed my Google and other passwords.
My real question is, can anyone confirm if MXTP rolled out to the Z3? I thought I remembered accepting the permissions/T&C in an update - but am not so sure. Can anyone confirm? Is there anyway to tell if I'd enabled it, without access to the phone?
For reference, MXTP article that I found here - /t5/FAQ/My-Xperia-Theft-Protection/td-p/998346

Hi @238,
I'm sorry to hear that.
This has been asked previously. Xperia Z3 does not have My Xperia Theft Protection.
See this topic for more information.

I know there have been a lot of posts about this feature. In brief, my phone was linked to my work google account. Recently our work account has been changed to microsoft, and so the google account disabled. This activated the protect funtion. I can't log in to disable this as it recognises the account as disabled, and therefore won't let me in. I have a personal google account, but if I try and log in with this it does not recognise the account/password, etc. I am therefore stuck - can't use my phone, and therefore can't change or update my details. This is a nightmare - can someone please help? I can't reactivate the original google account I activated MXTP with, as this is now defunct.
Well, it certainly has something very similar - it looks the same as various screen shots I have seen on forums, youtube, etc. When I restart my phone it goes to the usual home screen for a couple of seconds, then turns to a black screen with my Xperia PROTECTED at the top. Underneath are the options to Authenticate, Wi-Fi settings (I assume to switch on Wi-fi as data disconnected?) and Emergency Call. This seems to exactly match MXTP or something very similar.
Whatever it is, I can't use my phone, and I can't authenticate my account as my old google account has been permanently disabled. Please can someone help or offer any suggestions as to what this is and how it can be turned off? As I say, I can't use my phone at all...
