Incompatibility With XAV712BT

I have XZ5 Dual with the latest firmware and a Sony XAV 712BT with 1.20 firmware installed. Bluetooth pairing work well but somehow it can't play any music, the Bluetooth icon and App Remote remains grey. Tried unpair, restart XZ5 and also XAV712BT and still unsuccessful. Any idea?

Thanks for the reply, but it's not how to connect my Xperia Z5 Dual to XAV712BT. It's about software bug or incompatibility which maybe caused by your last ROM or update. To connect or to pair using Bluetooth between Xperia Z5 Dual and XAV712BT is a very simple thing, as usual we only need to push the pair button and everything is connected. The problem is no audio is streamed to XAV712BT and it's not happened with previous ROM or update. FYI I have tested with my Xperia Z3 and the old one Xperia Z and also the older one Xperia TX they are all have no problem with XAV712BT. So I can confirm this is more about something wrong with your update. So please check it internally between your products and make sure this will not happen and make your loyal customer dissapoint.

Hi,

Could you check so that all bluetooth services are enabled for the device? To do this, go to Settings -> Bluetooth and then tap the cog wheel next to your XAV712BT.

If that doesn't help, do you have any other bluetooth device connected at the same time?

1. It's all on and enabled
2. No other device is connected to XAV712BT

Please focus to fix the bug. As I have mentioned before it is probably caused by latest firmware

Do you have "Media audio" as an option when you tap the cog wheel?

Do you have any other bluetooth device connected to your phone when testing this? "Media audio" and "Call audio" can only be connected to one device at the time so if another device is connected to your phone with these bluetooth profiles, your phone can't connect it to your XAV712BT.

OK, so I managed to solve the problem. I did a reset on my head unit and also my Xperia Z5. And here is the funny thing, after I configured both device then I can stream audio and accept call from bluetooth with no problem. After that a pop up message from Xperia reminds me that I have a system update and I downloaded the update and you know what? After my Xperia rebooted it can't stream anything from the bluetooth. So?

In my sony xav 712bt the bt music option got disable its not working. How to enable that option again.

First install the firmware update. Then reset the XAV712BT. After resetting process is completed, turn off the system by pressing source button for two seconds or by pressing off button on remote commander and wait for at least 10 seconds to turn off the X2 completely. Then turn it on again.
