How do I unlock my phone if i forget the pattern lock in xperia z1

I have installed finger print but the device ask me to enter pattern lock for additional security. I forgot my pattern lock, what can I do?

Hi @flowerz07, sorry to hear about this.

I'm afraid that the only way to get around this is by resetting your device using Xperia Companion. The MyXperia service has been discontinued and the Android Device Manager (Find my Device) service is not setup to replace a pattern screen lock, it has only worked with PIN codes.

Do note that all data in the device will be deleted and since the device can't be unlocked you will not be able to create a backup.
