Hi @Helen43,

I'm sorry to hear this. I recommend that you test your ear speaker in diagnostics to see how it works outside of a call. To do so go to: Settings > About phone > Diagnostics > Test > Ear speaker. How does the ear speaker perform in this test, is it still the same behavior where it is very quiet?

I would also recommend that you try and reboot your device to safe mode to see if this behavior is caused by one of your downloaded apps as these will be temporarily disabled in this mode.

Thought it had fixed, but just received phone call and caller was very distant, very quiet ???

Was it in safe mode it was working? If it works in safe mode but doesn't work when you restart your device, this behavior is most likely caused by one of your downloaded apps.

I'm afraid that it's very hard for me to say what app may be causing this behavior. I recommend that you make sure that all of your apps are updated. You can do that if you go to: Google Play Store > Tap the 3 lines > My apps & games > Updated all.

If you are still experiencing the same behavior I recommend that you try to uninstall apps, starting with the most recently installed until you find the one/ones causing this behavior.
