Dock Charging Slow???

I recently bought a Magnetic Charging Dock for my Z2 (Didn't get one with the package) and I noticed that the charging rate was much slower than the normal charging rate of USB cable!!

Is it normal??

It is charging at a slower rate,probably before you were charging at wall socket via the USB cable and adapter.

Yes,it will charge slower.I have a magnetic cable and it charges slower than direct output through adapter.

I brought a local magnetic cable ( USB to magnetic cable only) for sony xperia and this are my observations.

1. If connected in reverse, phone freezes or switches off

2. Charges more slowly compared to  USB charging. 

3. Over a period of time it started slowing down further and I thought the reason could be oxidation of contact and hence I cleaned both the phone's contact point and the charger contact point using rough cloth.  Now charging is faster ( 1% takes between 5-6 minutes). 

The culprit could be the oxidation of contacts

I have 4 cabels. 1 charges slow and 3of them works fine. It's just mater of quality I think. My was cheap as **bleep** 80 cents, that's why I bought 4 of them.
