OK so had major issues with my z5 compact the camera gave u the ghost after nougat update, went through the usual restart even waited on 7.1.1 update thinking it might fix the problem but no sadly, So after some considiration and factory reset galore i decided to contact support on the chat (still have the transcripts) ok really useful and helped to some degree and organized a repair, turns out that i couldnt get on to the registration page due to a password error, decided to phone support.
45 minutes later managed to get somewhere and registered for a new account with a different email and an arranged repair all i had to do was wait on the email in the next 30 mins great so pleasant and helpfull.
3 days later still no email so got back on the chat as another 45 minute call i could not handle again, chat was to say the least going round in circles dont woryy says the chat handler we will organize a repair great i said are you sure yes no worries we will do this, lovely i thought at last getting somewhere,(transcripts available), another 3 days still no email so i thought something is up here so back on chat for the third time,! again round in circles and the last chat agent should not have gave me that advice the email was checked that sony have the right one yep they do whay are they saying they will mail me and dont!! ,the last agent even offered me next day pick up at home which did not arrive after waiting all day, so chat again here we go now a bit angry to say the least, we will escalate this to the complaints manager who will phone you, yep you guessed it no call its now been 2 weeks still no call after 3 mails saying someone will be in touch soon, they never ever do! i have kept all transcripts and mails and telephone calls recorded of the sheer nonsense of saying one thing and doing nothing what so ever ! wait sorry they did do something they emailed me a survey on my recent experience, joke!! my phone is away and has been for a week now i dont expect to get it back any time soon again Sony are a joke !
