I'm having a problem with my new Z3 Compact+Smartwatch 3.
When I connect to my car stereo (Pioneer), the screen stay always on. The only way to switch off is to press the lateral button.
This is anoying because the phone is hold just over the button.
As soon as the car stereo is switch off, the screen returns to the usual 30 seconds to lock screen.
Any suggestion?

I answer to myshelf:
The problem was the option to auto control the backlight (I don't know the name in english because my phone is in Spanish)
If this option is activated, works fine in my hands when I read. The problem is when the "Throw" send the music to the car stereo, the phone mantain the screen on like if it were in my hand.
After switch the option off, it works as it should.
I think that Sony should try to fix this or, as alternative, could be very very useful to give the option to disable this feature in a Smart Connection rule.
If you have an app installed for this then this will be an in app feature to adjust or you could try Smart connect and see if you are able to adjust the settings for this feature within that
No, I'm not using Tasker or something similar to control Bluetooth connections. I only use Sony's Smart Connect but I've disable al the rules to try to find the problem.
I suspect that could be related to the "stay awake" feature (sorry my phone is in Spanish and I don't know the exact translate)
I think that the vertical phone and braced from both sides, could "think" that it is in use and don't go to sleep.
By now, a simple widget to lock screen could be a temporal solution. Any suggestion about the simplest?
I wish I was able to test this with the same hardware and car but unfortunately I can't - When I use my phone in the car it is used for or as a Sat-Nav and within the Copilot app I use is a feature to keep screen awake - I'l like to think there's an app out there which could do this ie: Over rule the stock settings but I honestly don't know
