can not sign in my yahoo mail in the email app. kitkat

Hi! Can anyone help me how to solve my problem? I can not put my yahoo account in the email app even though i know that my password is correct. It keeps on saying invalid credentials. It only happened when i restore factory settings my phone but last time i can access my yahoo account. Please help.

That sounds strange. Have you tried to setup your account with manual settings? You can find the settings here:

Yup! It never happened before. It happened when i reset my phone to factory settings yesterday.

I also tried those manual settings and it doesn't work. Maybe there's something wrong with yahoo right now.

It might be, have you also tried with both Wi-Fi and 3G/4G connection?

Yes, I've tried it with both. I'll wait for a week maybe and see if I can make it work by then. If not then I'll have to factory reset again. Huhu

Hi hampus! I can finally sign in my yahoo account. It was just like i assumed that it was yahoo's problem (maybe server down or something) because it just accepted my credentials straight away and no manual settings.

Anyways, sorry for bothering and thanks for answering. ^^

HI. I have same problem today. My phone reads gmail no problem but I lost my main yahoo email.

It says something to do with server. Manual doesn't work as well nor with 3/4g nor with wifi.

Is it some yahoo issue or should I do some settings/factory restore? Thanks

The same occured to many people,I have sent yahoo en email for clarifications but I haven't received anything yet.It could be some server issues.

You will need to go to Yahoo to manually input settings for incoming and outgoing servers.

I had this same problem with setting up my Yahoo! e-mail accounts; did a Google search on my phone, input settings for Yahoo! e-mail. Will give you settings on how to sync your e-mail account(s) to your mobile phone.

Follow the instructions carefully.

I followed the instructions, and therefore was successful in pushing both Yahoo! e-mail accounts to my new ZU.

I noticed I had problems with the outgoing server port number, in which there was two.  First one didn't work, so I used the second one, which did work.

Mind you, I set up my e-mail accounts using IMAP, not exactly sure why.

Also funny, I didn't have this problem setting up my e-mail accounts with my Samsung Galaxy Note tablet!
