Camera lens film protection?

Hello,

I don't know if this is a normal film protection and I should remove it or if it is a manufacturing defect. Please see attached photo of my Z2 lens. Do you have some advice?

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Unfortunatley this looks like damage to the lens coating and could only be resolved via an authorised agent. please speak with your local Xperia Care team regarding having this arranged..

So you polished out the UV-A filter... great job Winking_Face
Good that camera is sharp and clear anyway, but don't spread that tip allover the net. Lens and glassess need UV A filter (bluish tint foliage). Removing it is just a temporary trick to clean the lens, the cover glass should be replaced for new one in some time.

Hi hedrox87, yes a polish the lens, yes xperia z2 is easy to scratch filter uv lens, HTC m8 as the same issue, many my friends have this issue weeks after buy xperia z2 , and withs this metod work well, and for me after 4 months no problem with lens and continue take very good fotos specially in night for mobile is great and beafor haved Samsung note 3, so yes for now my lens good and any problems, the construction this xperia z2 is juste very good, the scratch lens is juste a insignificant issu, but is is my opinion.
