Alarm silenced after 0 minutes?? How? Why?

For the second time in 2 days, I woke up an hour or so late to find a notification saying "Alarm silenced after 0 minutes"
My phone isn't rooted or anything.
Still running factory software.
And no new application were installed recently.
I checked alarm settings, everything was as I had set it earlier.
Could someone please look into this issue because this is the only alarm clock I've been using for quite a while now and if the alarm auto silences on an important day, I'm screwed

Hi PityTheFool,

Discussion Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines

You could try clearing out the Alarm application, this would atleast make sure there is no bad data causing issues with the snooze event.

Menu > Settings > Apps > all > Alarm > clear data.

You will need to do the alarms again however

Do you have a Smartband etc which you wear all the time and is it at all possible whilst waking up you turned it off and went back to sleep - You wouldn'd be the only one that has

@jake
The alarm app is not shown in the apps list in settings, could that be an issue?
I'm not sure if it was there before since I've never needed to clear alarm data
Although, Clock is shown.. Do I clear data for that?

Yes Clock is Alarm and stopwatch etc

Clearing the app data seems to have solved the problem for now..
How can I make sure it doesn't happen again?
Will I have to periodically clear the app data?
