Ads on lock screen

I've had my Xperia Z5 compact for a few months now however! Over the last few days turning it on (after its been dormant for more than a few minutes) is generating an advert I have to swipe to get back to the actual lock screen. Anyone know how to stop it? I've tried clearing history from chrome and that hasn't worked.

I  am struggling with the same problem where I have two locks screens with ads.

I never installed anything new except I did a system update, but I don't think that's the problem

Do you know what app caused it?

Still no idea what triggered it and haven't managed to turn it off. I've looked through what was suggested above but it didn't help. So I've just had to put up with it. It's so irritating that as soon as my contract is up. I'm off to another make of phone!

Hi Guys,

Turns out to be caused by Opera Mini in my case. Just turn on Developer options, open Running Services, and go through all processes that have 1 or more running services. Look for LockScreenCharge or ChargeLockerService or anything similar. If you find such process, congratulations, you found the problematic app. After I uninstalled Opera Mini, no more ads when charging. What a relief!
