23.0.1.A.0.167 and Noise Cancelling?

tl;dr version

For those of you with un-rooted handsets who have upgraded OTA to 23.0.1.A.0.167  / 4.4.4, does the noise cancellation function still work with the supplied headset?

Longer version for those who like context...:

My UK, sim-free and un-rooted Z2 has finally asked to update to 23.0.1.A.0.167.  The major gripes on here seem to be around icon size and camera lag, both of which I reckon I can live with.

There have been some reports, however, of the noise cancellation function no longer working with the supplied headset.  This would be a deal-breaker for me, and I'd rather stay on 4.4.2 if that's the case.  My Z2 is un-rooted, and I have no desire to root, as it would break an internet banking app that I use a lot.  Thus I have no method that I know of to downgrade back to 4.4.2 if the noise cancellation function is indeed borked.

A bit of Googling suggests that at least some of the problems with nosie cancellation are from those running rooted handsets, and/or who have "manually" upgraded to 4.4.4 using a stock ROM.

For those of you with un-rooted handsets who have upgraded to 23.0.1.A.0.167  / 4.4.4, does the noise cancellation function still work with the supplied headset?

I know there are lots of people moaning (as with every update) but I bought a phone that I find works exactly like I want it to 99.9% of the time... yes there will be bugs but you would be small minded if you thought it would be 100% bug free....

Not tested all the features yet but overall I'm happy with the update (minus the obvious issues that everyone is having...)

Please deselect clear audio + and select no headset in headset section

Well...I've updated and noise cancelling all works fine. Call me a heretic, but I even quite like the large icons!

Updated mine earlier this afternoon, had no problems with anything. I like everything about the update.

I'm also starting to like the bigger icons... Maybe it's because the screen is so brilliant it makes them ultra clear...

Noise cancelling is working for me after the update, but it turns off momentarilly before any notifications now.

I updated to the new version about a week ago... so far everything has been working steady (not mentioning the ugly huge icons). However, after reading this forum, I noticed that my noise cancelling headphones are working BUT not any close as how they did before. I remember that on 4.4.2 I could hear, even feel, a noticeable difference after plugging the headphones on (my wife would get mad at me because I coudl not hear her yelling at me less than 2 mts away... literally). On this 4.4.4 I do hear that something comes in but EVERY outside noise kicks into my ears.

Anybody fixed this? I loved my Sony noise cancelling headphones... I want to avoid getting Bosé.

Thanks!
