Any HDR video on YouTube will stutter if the quality is higher than 1080p. If you set the same video to 1080p HDR the stutter will vanish. And I have a theory that this only happens in YouTube app.

@Shimceltic does the video quality in YouTube app say HDR? because YouTube has enabled HDR playback for some devices (including XZP and Samsung Galaxy S8) and I've seen owners of those phones complaining about stuttering playback.

Yes it seems to be a YouTube issue since they activated HDR playback.

You are right. It stutters in the youtube app only. Does not stutter in chrome (Request Desktop Site) and settings to 4k...

hello. I noticed that on my sony xz premium, if I display videos in HDR 1080p 60fps, I have sporadic but annoying jumps.
I had read about this problem of youtube, for which he had reduced the resolution.
But they are also at 1080p , instead at 720p everything seems ok.
Other videos ay 2160p, 60fps but non HD, however, everything is ok.
Does this problem still exist? Thanl you
