Yellow stain like a half circle on top left of display of XZ1

Came after taking a photo in low light when flash came.As phone is out of warranty period,Sony service asked me to pay 50% of total price and said they would replace with a new one.It came around Rs.28000 with tax and they now say it will not be a new phone,but a refurbished one.What a pathetic service from Sony.

Did the flash appear too bright?

Did it startle you into maybe dropping the phone in water?

I don't doubt your display has a stain, but i can't figure out how the flash caused it.
