For the past couple of weeks my phone randomly shows no SIM card detected then I have to reboot the phone to resolve the issue. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
I have tried removing and cleaning the SIM even though there are no signs of dust, my phone has a cover on anyways and is always well looked after.
I have also noticed that when I turn the phone off and back on it takes longer than usual to turn back on. The notification light flashes yellow then eventually turns on.
I was hoping it's a faulty SIM but worried it's the phone.
I am going to try the SIM in another handset to see what happens.
Ok, when the phone already has been swapped and the vast majority of owners don't have this problem them you must have very bad luck or three is some kind of software problem.
If you have the courage to start all over again then do a software repair with Xperia companion and DON'T restore any apps.
Test what's happening.
Test with another SIM card from a friend.
Try and come back here and share where it went wrong this time.
Maybe we can help, maybe you're the one with worst luck who has had 2 faulty devices.
I've tried everything

Others have these problems since the update, too.
Hi did you solve the issues with the Sony phone as I have exact same issue keeps saying no service or no sim and restarting.. Can't seem to get WiFi and mobile network either sometimes... Think I need to send it to Sony repair...
Hi I have a xz3 and Every now and again my sim card becomes undetected and I have to restart my phone, its became worst in the latest system update, I have tried a replacement sim but it seems to be a software issue, I do not want to factory reset. Wondering what options do I have to fix the issue
Unfortunately I could not fix the problem yet.
2 days ago I was able to make the new update (52.0.A.8.107) but that did not help either.
On the contrary, I have now, when I'm outside Wi-Fi, hardly any network coverage
I have the same problem. Can't fix it. I can fix my Blackberry, my iPhone, iPad, Toyota, Jeep, Land Rover but not this Sony. I have tried everything except going back to a Sony service centre as I live in a remote location and this is not practical. About ten years ago I had a Sony mp3 player fail. The warranty replacement failed too. I waited a decade before regaining the trust to purchase another Sony product and this is my reward!
I have the same problem and I can´t fix it.
Me too. After last update.
Same for me as well, update has definitely messed my provider signal... basically phone is not usuable or reliable. Any update on this from Sony? ....
