XZ1 (android Pie) OTG not supperted!

hi!

I tried to insert OTG adapter to mg XZ1 but it doesn't read the USB device. On the previous softwares, there is an option to "detect USB" where you can manually detect USB drive, but now on the latest software (Pie) the unit can't read USB drive and the option to detect USB is gone. I just noticed now because it's been a long time where i last tried to put OTG/USB drive to my sony device. I don't know what to do!

Any suggestions and solutions? XZ1 (Pie) user here to fully helped me on my problem?

Hi @patrick16, let me see if I can help out here.

Xperia XZ1 do have support for OTG host, however, the reason as to why the "Detect USB" option has been removed is that the XZ1 compact has a capless USB type C-port. Have you been able to try rebooting the phone with the OTG adapter and the USB device attached to the phone and if that did not work, have you tried different OTG cables?
