Xperia xz3 isnt getting updates

Ever since I used xperia companion to reset my device, my xz3 hasnt gotten any updates. Im still on the august 1 build while others are Getting the November security patch. Why am I not getting updates? Should I try reseting with xperia companion again?

Maybe the update hasn't arrived for your region.We'll probably get Android 10 in December.

When you use Xperia companion you will achieve one important thing: your phone will be fresh and clean inside. Speedy as new.

Do not restore all apps, less is more.

What does his apps have to do with anything?  He can have as many as he wants, what a strange thing to say. 

On topic TS, have you tried signing up for email updates?  They'll let you know which build you should have for your phone whenever a new update is available, then at least you'll know if you're really missing out or not and can take it from there.

@YashSingh  what's your customization number? you can find it by dialing *#*#7378423#*#* in the phone app, then going to Service info > Software info and reading the Customization Version.

@Davelad  unfortunately, Sony Mobile has recently announced that they're shutting down the software update email newsletter.

I bought a new Xperia xz3 DS at Greece and here they havent released any new firmwares since August... My xz3 is 3 software updates behind a French one. Why is this? Sony should treat better its customers...

This has been asked myriad times, the delay has to do with regional approvals; Sony isn't trying to pick their fav country to release the update.

The customer doesn't know and doesn't need to know why is this happening. I had the essential phone and updates rolled out globally. Same thing with my old pixel. I also had a galaxy s6 and although the roll out took days for different regions, it was only that, days or one month tops. Now with Sony some countries have three updates more than others. It is their job to find a way that this stops happening.
