Xperia XZ premium microphone problem

Mic cuts out during calls but doesn't when I use and third party apps to call. I've read about others having this issue but no one seems to find a solution for it. Any help or tips would be much appreciated

@Mugen_e46 can you check if the same thing is happening in safe mode?

I've tested on safe mode throughout the day and it seems to work perfectly fine in safe mode.

@Mugen_e46 then the issue is most likely caused by one of the apps you've installed. the best (although cumbersome) way to figure out which app is causing that would be to go to Settings > Apps & notifications > Permissions > Microphone permissions and denying the permission to some apps one by one, and checking if the problem persists every app or two.
