My smartphone no longer recognizes the headphones, and it proves that the failure is not the same headsets that are even Sony, since using an application called Soundabut of the Store if it recognizes them so the fault is software, my question and doubt if this failure is already detected and if it is solved with the update to Android Oreo since it is not possible to use a handsfree due to this failure

Does this happen with all headphones? Do you have any others you can test?

That is, it happens with all I have tried and the headset I have tried with another phone and a computer and if they work, but the fault is software, since as I said if I install an app called Soundabout this allows me to do that the phone recognizes the headsets without problems, and this began to happen to me when I install the update to Android 7.1.1 on my computer, additionally it probe to make a factory restoration and the problem persists so I assume that the fault is of software and that the update has a bug, also invsit on the internet and I saw that this problem exists and not only with this model if not others like the Z5

That happens to me when i was using z3.

I have a few earphones and all were not working except when i used soundabout. Then soundabout also started to function irregularly and then one day i decided to clean the 3.5mm hole and a lot of dirt came out.. i cleaned it good and the earphones started to work again with sony software.

As xz_user_kr said, check for any dirt or debris in the headphone jack.

If it is clear and you are still experiencing the issue, please try performing a software repair using Xperia Companion.

the software has already been reinstalled from scratch with the Xperia companion software and the problem persists, but now notice another detail, the headphones are not recognized by my device, other phones are, (the headphones are the original equipment sold) , connecting other headphones on my computer even the icon that the headset connected, but if I connect the originals sony does not leave the icon and for that reason are not renounced, is there any details in which the update to Android 7.1.1 is performed with the headset connected and therefore does not recognize them? because as I said if they connect others if they work, and those of Sony only make them work with an app called SpundAbouut that makes a kind of audio switching
