Honestly Verizon customers would like to buy Sonys on Verizon now. Verizon needs to add a new product on the shelf. For Example Samsung makes CDMA and GSM phones and so does many other companies. I am a PlayStation fan and I want to play PlayStation games on my phone but I can't because I don't have AT&T I only have Verizon.
I understand your frustration but CDMA it's only used by few carrier/networks world wide, which makes sense why Sony only focus on GSM networks. Big red had few Sony devices, but it seems that they, Verizon, crippled them, an example the Xperia Z3V was crippled, you can't use Xperia Companion to repair/update the device,
I think this is more on Verizon side than Sony, if a carrier network request a phone then it will be developed, so make sure to let Verizon know that you want an Xperia with their carrier, perhaps take it to social media and Verizon's forum, the more people sign up for this the chances are greater that it will happen, remember Verizon as any other carrier network, wants to keep their customers happy
