Wifi connection problem

It all started normally, the phone connected to the wifi just fine. Then as time passed, just a few weeks, the phone started to have big trouble connect to the wifi although the signal is excellent, it gets unconnected back and forth and the connection is very slow compare to other phones. Any know how to fix it? Thanks

Couple of days ago faced this problem first time after 3 months of use. Wi-Fi just turning off and I can do nothing to enable it. More then that, phone freezes while trying to enable wifi. It happens up to 10 times a day now. Really annoying Slightly_frowning_Face All this things began when Sony rolled out a new update 12.179. BUT I am still on 145 and it worked perfect all the time since last update. Until now... On our local Xperia forum there are many people with the same situation.

Seems like Sony altered or smth. one of their servers. Really strange

Got the same trouble when I updated to v. 47.1.A.12.179

I think they will fix it on the next patch.

I've set keep wifi "on" while in sleep as temporary workaround. It works

Keep on while in sleep never worked for me.

Yeah, this problem came back for me. Happens 1 or 2x per day... Very strange...

Remember when I said Repairing the device solved my problem?

Nevermind we are back.

Spent this entire morning on data because the wifi simply won't connect.

Ruleta,

Did you reset your phone. That always worked for me.

I mean the soft reset where you press the power button and get three options,

Power Down,

Reset,

Screen capture.

Nothing else is effected except Smart Lock is blank and you have to go through that malarkey to get it back.

You mean restart rather than reset, right? Reset is where you would go to Settings > System > Reset (and then end up wiping either user data, app, account or network settings). Restarting the device seems to temporarily get it working again and means you don't lose any of your data.

Yes....RESTART.

My bad.  I don't have my phone so I was doing it from memory.

Sorry for the stupidity.

Yes and restart did work, but I was expecting it to go away like it usually would does.
@Sony, do something.
