Vibration for calls and notification is too weak

The vibrations are fine for dynamic vibration and haptic feedback when using the touchscreen. However, when I put my phone in the pocket when I am walking, the vibration is too weak and I can hardly feel it and have often missed calls.
I don't see there is any option for vibration length and intensity like some phone offers? I really need this feature on the phone, can Sony please implement this in future updates? Or, is there any workaround/alternatives? Thanks!

Oh... I returned my Xperia XZ Premium because of the extremely weak vibration notifications. After I heard the XZ2 had a whole new vibration system I got my hopes up they may have fixed that, but I guess I will have to pass this phone too.

The vibration system is nice if you hold it in your hands (haptic feedback for typing or games etc) - the vibration is more even spread out the whole phone and the intensity is more dynamic, and the noise emitted from the vibration motor is much less noisy too. HOWEVER, when it comes to phone call it feels too weak if I am walking while having the phone in my pocket. I wish they could implement some sort of options for vibration intensity 😕

This is my main complaint about XZ2.

I am used to having my phones set on vibration, but it simply doesn't work with this one. Working in the office with lots of people around so I prefer to have my ringtone off - well, that had to change!

I already had a dozen of calls missed because vibration is so weak I cannot sense it while the phone is in the pocket of my trousers. Having it on desk or any other hard surface is the same - you will not hear any buzzing or anything else that may alert you to look at your phone. You can maybe be aware of vibration while you are holding the phone in your hands, but guess what - you don't need it then. It is not a small thing - it is an annoyance that you face every day multiple times so it basically forced me to use my phone the way I don't like.

Suprisingly, no review pointed out this major flaw, even though it is one of the phones basic functions. I guess noone bothered to test something that all the phone manufacturers for the last 20 years were doing properly. Who would expect that sony would fail so hard with this on a phone boasting about superior vibration system.  My wife has Xperia XA2, and it is also vibrating pretty weak, compared to other phones we've used, but it seems that XZ2 is even worse.

Hopefully they can fix it with a software update.

@LVL1@kasparl@Goldkoron;

This is just an ideia but I use a Smartband Talk (SWR30) and I never miss a call, alarm or notification even when the phone is not near me (but at the range of bluetooth connection) because my wrist vibrates.

Not a bad idea, but I don't want to buy a smartwatch to make up for a feature that all smartphones should be capable of doing, especially with this one with the large haptic engine.

Surprised Sony hasn't replied to this, presumably possible to fix with SW update?

The DVS runs in calls, have you try to change the sound of the calls? The vibration change too
