USB connection to PC not working any more

Since last update (patch jannuary 2019) I cannot connect any more to PCs. The suggestions in the troubleshooting section don't work.

The PC doesn't see the device and the device cannot realize to be connected.  Xperia Companion doesn't work any more. Even the battery doesn't charge any more via USB connected to the PC. 

I don't know what to do. 

Have you any suggestions please?

Did you try another USB cable and another PC? If that does not work, the error must be related to your phone - then you should contact your local Sony support, because a software repair via Xperia Companion will not be possible...

I tried on different PC's and with 2 USB cables. The problem appeared Just after the last update. 

Is there a way to force reinstalling the USB drivers inside the the phone?

If the device cannot be recognised by Xperia companion then read the FAQ section in this forum and pay attention to point 2B on how to get your device recognised by Xperia companion.
