Hi,
i have a wiered problem with the touch screen. Quite often the first touch is not recognized and i have to touch the screen a second time to get the touch recognized by the phone.
For example i touch an application on the sony launcher there is no reaction, when i touch it the second time the application gets started.
There is no extra screen protection on the screen and the screen itselfe is clean.
Does this sound like a hardware problem ?
To me it looks Sony doesn't take care about customers and just counts sold hardware. Otherwise, why no official stement from Sony here. Why don't they contact users and collect the phones to analyze the problem ?
I have this issue as well with my phone. Very annoying writing posts like this and swiping in apps.
This issue has basically made my XZP unusable... I am constantly finding myself swiping multiple times to get anything done... This is way too frustrating to use as a daily driver and has forced me to switch to another phone.
I don't think I got a lemon, since a lot posters seem to have the same issues. This has to some kind of software bug, at least I really hope it is otherwise I have an $800 paperweight at this point...
I bought the phone 3 days ago and iam running firmware number 45.0.A.7.90. Iam here in the middle east (Oman) and i can confirm that i have this problem. I read that someone on the XDA developers forum did a factory reset and confirms that his problem is gone. I don't want to reset so I'll wait for a new update.
I have the same issue. touch is not detected, I cant find any pattern. It happends in Chrome and the OS, I cant recall it hapend in any game.
version 45.0.A.1.229
kernel 4.4.21-perf+
do you have a link to XDA forum with the claim that a factory reset will work?
I'm on my 2nd device and same issue as well also wifi issue has been horrible as well
Is there anyone from Sony to comment on this? Like seriously the least they can do. Also can someone else confirm if they try the factory reset that it works?
Well I tried a factory reset. It did nothing... same issue, total waste of time...
I tried enabling glove mode, and that sort of makes it better, but there are still random lags in registring touches.
I checked the diagnostic for screen and touchscreen and both passed as well.
This is a ridiculously frustrating issue and it would really be nice if Sony would at least acknowledge that some users are having this issue and provide some sort of update on what could be done to resolve this...
