Did Sony have such programs in the past?

I just got my XZ1c not even 5 months ago on release day and it looks like they're already going to release the successor in a few weeks...

I know the pace of hardware release is pretty fast in the mobile world, but announcing and releasing a successor with arguably far superior design less than 6 months after the previous release is pretty disgraceful.

I've always loved the Xperia line but more and more I think this will be my last Sony handset. Far too much compromise.

Pros of xz2 Compact :

845 processor 

Cons:

No headphone jack

Thicker 

Heavier

Greater screen resolution = equals more power drain and is unnecessary on such a small screen

Placement of fingerprint scanner a backwards step
