Just signed up to rant about this piece of *****.
I switched to Sony after having issues with Samsung, OnePlus & Huawei and have to say that this will be my worst smartphone experience out of all of them.
Here some major annoyances:
1. Fingerprint sensor is extremely slow and inaccurate. No other phone came even close to having such a lag when unlocking the device. I have to press the sensor unusally hard AND long to unlock the phone.
2. Screen rotation problems at its best (or worst). I simply cannot read anything in portrait mode and put down the phone to continue reading while the phone laying on a flat surface as the screen will ALWAYS rotate to landscape mode. I have to move up the top of the phone almost to a 90 degree angle for the phone to register the protrait mode again. Interestingly I sometimes have to repeatedly rotate the phone into landscape to have video content display in ful screen mode.
3. Bluetooth connectivity issues. I'm using three devices to pair with my phone eachone individually, never more than one at a time and it's a struggle to get them paired. Rarely, it will work just by turning on the Bluetooth feature. Instead I end up turning Bluetooth on and off repreatedly as well as the other device to get them successfully paired.
4. "Automatic" screen brightness adjustment. What a joke. Changing lighting conditions are handled in a well delayed manner. Also, the screen is ALWAYS too dark. The menu says that I can use the brightness slider to correct brightness and that the device can learn my preferences but nope. It's just always at 3% or less when it's getting dark.
5. Random reboots. Why? I have no clue. I'm not a hardcore phone user. I play only one Arcade game. I constantly back up my files to keep the device memory as free as possible.
6. Freeze issues. A few times I really had to use the camera or access the contact lists urgently the phone coincidentally freezes up. The device would finally wake up after 10 to 20 seconds or after reboot.
I always used verfied apps from the Googly Play Store. No rooting. No fiddling. This is just extremely annoying especially for a phone of that "caliber".
Will go back to Huawei.
