After weeks of searching for a decent complete protection and failed miserably, I decided to build one personalized for myself. As all of you may have noticed, Apple has millions of accesories and protective case options and Samsung keeps up.
Except for that weird lovemei rugged case, I could not find ONE decent, nicely looking and permanent protection for this gorgeous phone.
I needed something really tough and slim to withstand accidental drops, a flexible glass screen protector without the ghost effects on the edges and finally a book type case comprising all of the above features. This is IMPOSSIBLE to find. Sony cases will not protect the sides of the phone or the top and bottom, Nillkin makes good cases but lacks complete protection, etc.
So I ordered a Terrapin leather book type case and I carefully removed the cheap interior rubber where the phone snaps in. I bought a rugged Spiegen case with corner air cushion technology and I double adhesive taped them together. Thus I obtained the BEST protection possible and the looks are gorgeous.
But the screen needed special care. After also failing miserably to find a good screen glass protector without the ghost effect around the edges of the screen, I finally found the best one, called FlexiGlass made in Romania, indeed made of glass which somehow CAN be bent without cracking. I tried one just for the kicks of it and it broke off extremely difficult, being indeed made of glass.
So, now I'm satisfied. Complete screen protection with NO ghost effects, perfect all around cushioning thanks to Spiegen and best looks thanks to Terrapin real leather flip.
If somebody needs more details, I'll be happy to oblige.
I still see people wondering where to get a good screen protector and which kind; Well I found out after numerous protectors that I find this one the best for the front:
Yes, you'll have a white 'edge' around the phone, but it's barely noticable and not so much than other protectors. Of course it's not full-cover either.
This one for the back:
Or well, in fact, there's only ONE 'glass' protector for the back. It scratches more easily than glass, but rather that then the actual back of the phone. Note: Doesnt'cover the whole back.
Can't speak for the back as I use a case to protect that area. However, here is a link to what I believe is the best front screen protector currently available. It is a little expensive...it is harder to apply than your average protector...there are video's showing how to apply it from start to finish ((Which Must Be Followed)) AND it will cover the entire screen properly with no strange halos.
However, it will NOT work with the Spigen Rugged Armor case as it will lift the corners. Now you "might" be able to make it work with this case if you can get the protector centered PERFECTLY! YMMV
But if you have a case that does not wrap around the front as tightly as the Spigen does then you will like this protector. Again, the application is detailed...read about it...watch the videos...pay your money, and enjoy the ONLY protector that truly does the job as we all expect.

I have bought those two:
- Ringke Fusion case
- Stilgut Tempered glass
And they are both compatible with each other.
Stilgut glass is perfectly fitting the XZ Premium screen (including the 2.5D frame).
Yes I've seen this video over and over for months now (by the looks of it since October. But where do you actually buy it? As far as I heard, you actually have to go to their store in Singapore? to get this applied. If I have to fly there, it'll be one heck of an expensive screen protector
Yes, I am familiar with these kind of screen protectors. But why in the world would one pay €19,99 for one protector? Just get the same protector for €2 or less from Aliexpress.
Now, I have the 'chrome' variant of the XZ Premium and there's simply no colloured protector to match the exact collour. The closest you can get it is silver/grey and it just looks bad on the phone.
The black phone has no problems since the protector is about the same collour.
The transparant full screen protectors have only glue on the sides, which means the protector doesn't actually stick to the screen. It also has 'dots' in the screen to allow touch and also dust gets trapped underneath the screen because it's not glued in the middle.
Bottomline; In my opinion, with a Chrome phone, the only way to go is a not-full screen protector.

"But why in the world would one pay €19,99 for one protector? Just get the same protector for €2 or less from Aliexpress."
Maybe just to be sure that it fits 100% and is characterized by very good quality?
I could have bought several screen protectors on Aliexpress, but all of them would not cover the curved side of the glass (I have checked the reviews). What is more, I would have to wait for them over 6 weeks to arrive. Pointless.
If anyone decides to try the one from Singapore...you will wait quite some time for delivery. Nature of the beast. I think they send it by canoe. Anyway, I recommended this one because I have used it...I say "used" because I sort of ruined it myself by not getting it centered properly and then using a case that is so tight that it pushed up on one corner. Now, would this case do that if I had it centered better??? I am not sure. But I have read from others that certain cases DO NOT interfere with this protector at all. So from what I can tell, this protector will do the job as well as the protectors did when applied to completely flat screens. I wish the OEM's would go back to flat screens! I bet the screen protector makers wish they would also.
I know Im late to the party but ive always used devilcase as my sony accessory provider.
Hope this helps for the future. i have a premium and the curved 3d cover is perfect.
