June security patch doesn t come when will it come? And how much time we will get updates on #xperia xz premium#xperia xz premiu

Hi @Alias441!

Regarding the June security patch, software updates are released at different times depending on the operator, market, region or country. Therefore, I cannot give you an exact date for when a specific update will be available for your device.

We aim to support all premium range devices with the latest Android OS updates for two years after the device has launched. However, we do not roll out software to a device if the platform components of a device do not fully support it, since the device could get technical issues and become slower.

I hope that helps and you will as always get a notification in your device when a new update is available!

Everybody is thinking the same..  But now Sony is working with new management which they are trying to revive and get back in business with new plan. Only question is previous devices are left out or not. Very few devices now representing Sony mobile .. They can either leave devices that are 2 years older or give support and continuous updates so when rest of people see that Sony giving updates to 2 year old devices along with their new plan, that wil surely attract some people to look back at sony.. and will be a positive vibe to promote 2019 lineup devices. 

So the question itself says June might be last..  unless Sony surprise us to lend more support as part of its revival to the Xperia lineup by giving continuous support and not leaving behind their unique devices which stood as one of a kind... 

We will know what happens in coming days or a month . Hope or not..

@Justluk, I'm afraid that I don't know exactly when the last update will be sent out as I do not have this information available, sorry for that.

@mahesh911, that is a very good point and to a normal smartphone user, updates aren't a very high priority, but for more advanced users, the update policy of a company can be a big part of which brand that will be the one they pick for their new device.

The June update seems to be rolling out for certain customizations at the moment at least!

as for aug-05 update, do you have a plan to provide?

i'm banned in this 2month from my company's mail client (vmware boxer)...

hope to have recent situation to decide whether i need to buy new devive, while xz premium still works very well..

Hi @kenta_s, welcome to our community!

I'm not quite sure that I understand exactly what you mean, but keep in mind that not all devices receive an update at the same time and in addition, network operators and specific markets may choose not to use the updates for specific models.

Regarding the mail client you are banned from, I'm not quite sure what I can do about this.

Please do elaborate a bit and I'll do my best to assist you.
