I recently bought the red Xperia XZ Premium. i'm using it on T-Mobile here in the US. Works flawless, only downside is that since we have Android Messages preloaded, i want to use RCS but doesn't show available or using Android Messages for Web. My provider says they support it but mainly if i have either Wi-Fi Calling or VoLTE enabled which my phone doesn't show those settings anywhere. Is anyone else here in the United States having this issue as well? i was told it's because my phone is carrier unlocked which just sounds like T-Mobile is forcing me to buy a phone from them.
Have you try go to the 3 dots on the Messaging app to check if you have that settings?
Settings » Advaced » Chat (or something similar to that)?
The Android Messages for Web is also under the Settings options.
Please tell me if you already did that or if this helps in anything. I confess that i don't have any knowledge of the US market regarding operators.
Yeah, doesn't show that option when i hit the 3 dots when i check Advanced. I checked all my settings
According to the info i´ve read online, there's no VoLTE or WiFi calling. I don't think they enable/support those features on any phone they don't sell, i´m afraid!
