Problem while charging

Recently i noticed that whenever i charge the phone the screens wakes up every 15 sec and google page is on (the one that appears when you press the home button a little longer). Is this a setting that i accidentally activated? Or maybe a charging issue?

Thank you

Hi @Spellbtd,

It seems that Google has started to roll out a feature called "Google Assistant Ambient Mode" that will activate for example, when you are charging the device and there has probably been a pop-up asking if you want to activate this, but it easy to just press "turn on" without looking.

It seems very limited and only certain devices will receive it, but you should be able to turn it off if you open up the Google application > More > Google Assistant > tap on the tab called "Assistant" > tap on "Phone" under "Assistant devices," then scroll down and find the "Ambient Mode" and turn this off.

Let us know if there is any change when you turn this off! Slightly_smiling_Face

@Spellbtd   that doesn't sound right. have you tried using a different charger to see if the same thing happens?

@najodleglejszy yeah i i tried with another charger and also tried to connect it to my pc . Another strange thing that i i noticed is that the xperia loops are always on when i plug it. Anyway, i found a temporary solution by activating the screen protection while charging plus i use an original sony style cover stand and keep closed the screen.
